JBF Worldwide 6th Anniversary Global Ambassador Celebration

JBF Worldwide 6th Anniversary Global Ambassador Celebration recognizes numerous professional athletes, artists and supporters at the united nations and awards dinner

New York, NY, March 30, 2012 – The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide) will celebrate its 6th Anniversary by hosting various events on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30 in New York along with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Awards Committee, Friends for Good Health, South-South News and the United States Disaster Relief Command (USDRC).
Throughout the two-day event, a delegation including numerous Global Ambassadors of JBF Worldwide, Goodwill Ambassadors of the MDG Awards Committee and Members of its Athletes and Artists Committee as well as supporters will be recognized for their athletic and business achievements combined with their exceptional dedication and ongoing commitment to philanthropic work on a global level.
Upon the delegation’s arrival on the evening of March 29, JBF Global Ambassadors will have the unique opportunity to attend a private meet and greet with the USDRC General in Long Island, N.Y. The events will continue on Friday beginning with a visit to JBF affiliate South-South News where they will participate in interviews as part of the South-South News Sports for Development division headed by JBF Founder and Executive Director Jack Brewer. While there, they will also have a private tour and meet and greet with Honorary President of South-South News H.E. Amb. Francis Lorenzo.
Following the interviews will be a United Nations (UN) Press Conference and Awards Presentation in the UN Press Room. United Nations Ambassadors H.E. Brian Bowler of the Republic of Malawi, H.E. Dr. Palitha T.B. Kohona of Sri Lanka, H.E. Marjon V. Kamara of Liberia and H.E. Luis Alfonso de Alba Gongora of Mexico will receive Special Recognition Awards presented jointly by the MDG Awards Committee and The Jack Brewer Foundation to their respective governments. The Awards are in recognition of the outstanding efforts each country is making towards its efforts to achieve the eight Millennium Development Goals. Chaired by Mr. Brewer, the MDG Awards Committee currently consists of Goodwill Ambassador Actress/Singer/Model Scarlett Johansson, Television Producer Tisha Fein, Writer Lewis Friedman, Producer Chris Wangro, Former Major League Soccer player Seth Stammler, current and former National Football League (NFL) players Israel Idonije, Barrett Green, David Clowney and Leigh Bodden and many more whom will be introduced during the event.
During the UN awards presentation, Mr. Brewer will introduce the newest members of the MDG Awards Athletes and Artists Committee, who are also Global Ambassadors of The Jack Brewer Foundation including current and former NFL players Marion Barber III, Jake Ballard, Dominique Barber, Michael Clayton, Jermichael Finley, Sidney Rice, Nate Jones, Laurence Maroney, Desmond Bishop, Barrett Green, Lance Johnstone, Barry Gardner, Kheeston Randall, Vernon Gholston, former New York Knick John Starks, Celebrity Musical Director Michael Bearden and Grammy Award-winning Haitian-American rapper, actor, film producer and former member of the hip hop trio The Fugees, Pras Michel. Directly following the Awards Presentation, the delegation will take part in a private tour of the United Nations. “This is a historic event for our foundation as it is the first time a delegation of this size will have the unique opportunity to participate in something of this magnitude at the United Nations. mobilizing our supporters into various international initiatives in an effort to provide them with further knowledge and
